The "A3 Foresight Program" aims to support collaborative research among scientists from China, Japan, and South Korea in selected fields. This initiative is designed to cultivate exceptional scientific and technological talent, address regional scientific challenges, and enhance the scientific research capabilities and global influence of the Asia-Pacific region.
Scholars in computational and applied mathematics from China, Japan, and South Korea have a long history of extensive academic exchanges. This conference will focus on key research topics in the field of computational mathematics among these three countries, including modeling polymer crystallization, designing and simulating numerical methods, and developing stable and efficient numerical methods to solve nonlinear problems in multiphase flow phase-field models.
Researchers from the computational mathematics team at Wuhan University have made significant progress in these areas. Hosting this conference at Wuhan University will strengthen collaborations between Chinese research teams, particularly those in the central region and the computational mathematics team at Wuhan University, and their counterparts in Japan and South Korea. It will foster research on the modeling and computation of heterogeneous multi-level flows and their applications in materials science. Through conference presentations and seminars, this event will provide a platform for researchers to exchange the latest scientific advancements, enhance international scientific and technological cooperation among universities in China, Japan, and South Korea, and promote the establishment of substantive collaborations among experts and scholars from these countries.
