Abstract：In 1973, the great Chinese mathematician Chen Jing Run published his proof of the result that every sufficiently large even number is the sum of a prime and the product of at most two primes (briefly called "1 + 2"). In this talk we will describe Chen's basic idea, and emphasize the crucial point of his proof that made him surpass other's work on this famous problem.

专家简介：张益唐，美国加利福尼亚大学圣芭芭拉分校教授，北京大学闵嗣鹤数论研究中心名誉主任，北京大学客座教授。因在孪生素数猜想的研究中取得里程牌式的突破进展而享誉国际数学舞台。曾先后获罗夫·肖克奖-数学奖、弗兰克·奈尔森·科尔数论奖、麦克阿瑟天才奖等诸多奖项，并受邀在2014年第二十七届国际数学家大会上做特邀报告。
